Ofsted Updates

At Monkey Puzzle Horsham, the safety, happiness and wellbeing of every child are at the heart of everything we do. Following the publication of our recent Ofsted report, we wanted to take the opportunity to share the outcome with our families and highlight some of the many positive aspects recognised during the inspection. While the report identifies areas where we can continue to strengthen our practice, we welcome this feedback as part of our commitment to continuous improvement. We would also like to thank our wonderful families for their continued trust and support as we continue to build on the positive progress made under our new ownership and leadership.

We were pleased that the inspection recognised many of the strengths that make our nursery such a special place, including:

• Children are safe, happy and feel secure in our care.
• Warm, nurturing relationships between children and our dedicated team.
• A strong safeguarding culture, ensuring every child is protected and supported.
• Improved communication and positive partnerships with our families.
• Inclusive support that helps every child thrive, including those with additional needs.

The report also acknowledges the positive progress we’ve made under our new ownership and leadership, recognising the clear plans we have in place to continue strengthening our provision.

As with any inspection, Ofsted identified areas where we can continue to improve, and we welcome this feedback as part of our ongoing commitment to providing the highest quality early years education and care.

Since the inspection, we have already:

• Enhanced staff training to further strengthen our curriculum.
• Increased coaching and support for our team through regular supervision.
• Continued developing learning experiences tailored to each child’s individual interests and stage of development.
• Strengthened support for children who speak English as an Additional Language.
• Welcomed new team members who bring fresh ideas, experience and enthusiasm.

Continuous improvement is part of who we are, and we remain committed to providing every child with the very best start in life in a safe, nurturing and inspiring environment.
