This morning, we had a wonderful time exploring our sensory light cubes! The children practiced their fine motor skills by switching them on and off and rotating them to change colours. We also encouraged coordination and teamwork as they built a tower together before having a great time knocking it down. What an enjoyable activity🔦🔦

This morning in the Toddler room, the children found a Ladybug in the garden and observed its exploration. We discussed the importance of being gentle with insects and letting them explore. In the afternoon, we set up a tuff tray with artificial grass, water, and raisins for the bugs. This activity deepened the children`s understanding of insects and their habitats, allowing them to experience different textures and learn to respect the space of other living creatures🐞🐜🪰

This morning in the Toddler room, the children discussed friendships and their playmates at nursery, prompting us to create a handprint display for them to enjoy daily. We cut out card circles and let the children choose their own primary colours. They commented on the coldness of the paint and found it “tickly”, which sparked laughter. This activity enhanced their personal, social, and emotional development while fostering friendships and communication skills. Using various materials allowed the children to explore expressive arts and design, furthering their colour knowledge. Well done, everyone🎨🎨🖌️

We had a wonderful time during our painting activity! The children explored different tools and toy cars to create amazing tracks. They got really creative using their hands and fingers to make marks. This fun experience helps promote both fine and gross motor skills as they stretch to reach the paint🎨🖌️

Today, we had a fantastic time exploring a tuff tray filled with jelly and sea animals! This activity helped us learn about different textures, like "soft," while also deepening our understanding of sea creatures. We really enjoyed making a mess🦐🦑🍤

We`ve been enjoying the beautiful weather with a dinosaur-themed frozen tuff tray! The children worked together, using spoons to rescue the dinosaurs from the ice. This activity fostered great problem-solving skills and teamwork, providing a fun and engaging learning experience for everyone involved!🧊🧊

This morning was filled with fun as we explored colors! We set up a tuff tray with different shades and chatted about how they change when mixed. The children loved seeing which rose petals floated or sank. It was wonderful to watch them using their fine motor skills while pressing down on the pumps😊😊

We`ve created a wonderful miniature kitchen, perfect for little ones to explore food and nutrition. In small groups, children will enjoy hands-on experiences in cooking and baking, while learning about the importance of healthy eating in their everyday lives. Today in Marvin’s deli, they whipped up delicious banana milkshakes for dessert🧋🧋

Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Horsham, is proudly located in the heart of Horsham in the RH13 postal sector. The nursery is on Godwin Road, on the site of the old Roffey Youth Centre. We’re just round the corner from the Roffey Post Office and The Master Fryer. Horsham Railway Station is a 20 minute walk away and a short drive from the A264.
Opening times: 7:30am to 6:30pm
Monday to Friday for 51 weeks per year, (closed for the week between
Christmas and New Year)
